Oats Bhel :

Ingredients -
- 1 cup oats
- 3 spoon ghee/butter
- a handful of curry leaves
- 2 finely chopped green chilli
- 1/4 cup peanuts
- 1/4 cup fox nuts (Makhana)
- 1/4 cup almonds
- 1/4 cup cashew nuts
- 1/4 cup pistachios
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon coriander seeds powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
- 1/4 teaspoon rock salt
- 1 spoon salt
- 1 spoon dried fenugreek leaves (Kasuri methi)
- 2 spoon jaggery powder
Method -
1. Dry roast all the ingredients (oats, peanuts, cashews, almonds, fox nuts, raisins, pistachios) one by one separately.
Roast the ingredients until they all get crisp & start to change colour slightly. It gives out nice aroma.
2. Transfer all the roasted ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
3. Take a heavy bottom pan add ghee/butter. Once it melts add curry leaves, finely chopped green chilli and saute it till the curry leaves becomes crisp.
4. Next add turmeric powder, coriander seeds powder, cumin seeds powder, pepper powder, rock salt, salt, dried fenugreek leaves, jaggery powder and give all the masala powder a good mix.
5. Next add the roasted ingredients (oats,peanuts, cashews, almonds, fox nuts, raisins, pistachios) into the kadai and mix it. Make sure the masalas should coat the ingredients well. Saute everything together for 4-5 mins.
6. Allow the ingredients to cool down completely and
enjoy this scrumptious, healthful, nutrient-rich snack during tea time by storing it in an airtight container.
