Bajra Ladoo

Bajra Ladoo - During winter, its an age-old Indian tradition to make ladoos which is meant for improving our immune system.
All the ingredients used in this ladoo preparations are very nutritious.
People make Methi Ladoo,Bajra Ladoo, etc.
Here,I am sharing the Bajra Ladoo recipe.
Very soon I will be sharing the Methi Ladoo recipe.


Ingredients- 
Melted Ghee - ½ cup
Bajra Flour - 1½ cup
Edible Gum(Gondh) - ¼ cup
Roasted Peanut - ½ cup
Roasted Black Sesame Seeds - ¼ cup
Roasted White Sesame Seeds - ¼ cup
Almonds - 10
Cashews - 10
Roasted Coconut - 2 spoon
Jaggery - 1¼ cup

Procedure -

1. Take a thick bottom kadai, add 3 spoon ghee & fry all the edible gum(gondh)

2. Take a large mixing bowl & add the fried edible gum & crush it nicely.

3. Now add ¼ cup ghee into the kadai & roast the bajra flour on medium low flame.

3. Once the colour changes & aroma is released, transfer the flour into the mixing bowl.

4. Remove the skin & grind the peanuts into a paste & transfer it in the mixing bowl.

5. Similarly, add the sesame seeds(both white & black together) into the mixer jar & grind it into a coarse powder.

6. Transfer it into the mixing bowl.

7. Finely chop the almonds & cashews & add it into the mixing bowl.

8. Add 2 spoon grated coconut into the kadai & dry roast it for 5-7 minutes till the moisture in it disappears.

9. Transfer the roasted coconut into the mixing bowl.

10. Now, take 1 & ½ cup jaggery & add it into the kadai & cook it on a low flame.

11. Melt the jaggery without adding water, once the jaggery is completly melted, remove it from the flame only when the syrup is forming shape.

12. Add the jaggery syrup into the mixing bowl & add 1 spoon ghee & mix all the ingredients well using a spatula.

13. Finally the ladoo mixture is ready.

14. Once the mixture cools down slightly, make Ladoos.

15. The ladoos are ready to be enjoyed.

I know the process is bit too lengthy but take some time out from your busy schedule once a while to take care of yourself & your near & dear ones.
Involve your near ones while making such dishes, the cooking will no longer be a tedious work but a fun-filled activity that every one will enjoy for sure.

Note
1. You can add more dry fruits.
2. Avoid using white sugar.
