Tutti Frutti Rawa Cake - Cakes are all time favourites.
Everyone loves to have cake let it be any celebration or simply at times when we have sweet cravings.
This Rawa Cake is easy to make & simply superb.
One can find variety of cakes at all super markets & bakeries.
But the ones made at homes tastes more delicious; it is because of the extra love & care that is associated with the baking process.
Do try to make such simple recipes at home as it requires less effort & is very healthy & can be enjoyed with our loved ones.
Ingredients:
Rawa - 2 cup
Curd - ½ cup
Ghee/Butter - ¼ cup
Sugar - ¾ cup
Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
Milk - ¼ cup
Wheat Flour - 2 spoon
Tutti Frutti - ¼ cup
Almonds - 10
Cashews - 10
Kesar Strands - A pinch
Method:
1. First,grind the sugar into a fine powder, sieve & keep it aside.

2. Take a bowl, add curd, ghee/butter & sugar powder & mix it thoroughly.

3. Grind the rawa for few minutes & add it in the bowl(No need to make a fine powder).

4. Add baking soda & mix all the ingredients nicely & let the mixture rest for 20 minutes.

5. Meanwhile, take a bowl, add milk & kesar strands & roughly chop all the dryfruits & keep it ready.

6. Add wheat flour to coat the tutti frutti.

7. After 20 minutes, add the kesar milk & tutti frutti into the cake batter & mix it until the batter is smooth.

8. Keep a steamer on flame & grease the cake mould or any plate with ghee/butter.

9. Now cover the mould/ plate with the wheat flour & pour the batter into it.

10. Garnish it with chopped dryfruits & tutti frutti.

11. Place the mould into the steamer & cook for 40 minutes.

12. Check whether the cake is ready by inserting a toothpick/knife. If it comes out clean, your cake is ready or else cook it for another 5 minutes.

13. Let the cake cool down completely & only then remove it from the mould.

14. Make slices & it is ready to be served.

Note : 
1. You can substitute white sugar with brown sugar, jaggery or sugar candy.

2. The steamer used is a regular steamer that is used for making idlis & dhoklas.

3. The wheat flour coating in the mould is to prevent the cake from burning.Also the cake comes out easily without sticking at the bottom. An inexpensive substitute for parchment papers.
