Green Gram Juice

Green Gram Juice - Green Gram (Hara Moong) Juice is a natural, traditional, easy to digest, power packed energy drink that is loaded with lots of protein, minerals & fibre

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup green gram

- 1/2 cup fresh grated coconut

- 3/4th cup powdered jaggery

- 4 almonds

- 4 cashew nuts

- 2 cardamom pods


Method

1. Take a pan, add  green gram and roast it on medium flame till you get a nice aroma and also make sure to roast till the colour changes to slighty brown. It takes about 5-6 mins.


2. Immediately transfer the roasted green gram to a bowl and rinse thoroughly by adding water and strain it.


3. Take a mixer jar, add the roasted green gram, powdered jaggery, grated coconut and grind it into a smooth paste by adding one cup of water.


4. Once you get thick paste type consistency add one and half cup of water to the mixture and grind it again. (You can add more water if required to bring thin watery juice consistency)


5. Now strain the juice using a strainer and extract the juice and discard the pulp.


6. Now crush the cardamom into fine powder and mix it into the juice. 


7. Pour the juice into a glass and garnish it with chopped nuts (almonds and cashews) and serve it at room temperature or you can also add some ice-cubes and serve it chilled.
