Green Chilli Sabzi

Green Chilli Sabzi - A perfect recipe for all those spice food lovers there. Sometimes it's fun to add spice to your diet but make sure you don't overdo it.
Ingredients -
10-12 fat green chilli (the one used for making bhaji and pickle)
1 cup gram flour (besan)
1 lemon
1/2 cup water
Coriander leaves
Salt
4-5 spoon sunflower oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds (saunf)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon asafoetida (hing)
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder

Method-
1. Deseed and slice the green chillies into large pieces vertically.

2. Take a pan dry roast the gram flour on low flame  till the raw smell goes. It takes about 6-7 minutes. Tranfer the roasted gram flour into a bowl and keep it aside.

3. Clean the same pan with a cloth and add oil, once the oil is hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds and allow the mustard seeds to splutter.

4. Next add turmeric powder, asafoetida, garam masala powder into the oil and mix it and without delay add the green chilli slices, salt and saute it nicely for 10mins on medium flame.

5. Next add the roasted gram flour, little bit of salt and garam masala over the green chillies and mix it nicely so that dry gram flour coats all the green chilli pieces and then sprinkle half cup water little by little and mix it.

6. Cover and cook this mixture for about 2-3minutes.

7. Now add the lemon juice, finely chopped coriander leaves and give it a good mix and switch off the flame.

Note:
1. Do use hand gloves while deseeding and cutting the green chillies to prevent burning of your hands.
In case you don't have gloves apply some sesame/coconut oil on your hands before chopping the green chillies.

2. Do not add more water than the mentioned quantity otherwise the sabzi will turn out to be mushy instead of being moist.

3. You can serve this green chilli sabzi with plain dal rice or bhakri
.
