Sattu Drink

Sattu drink -Sattu drink is one of the nutritious, tastiest, gluten-free and refreshing protein rich drink. It acts as natural coolant during summer, aids digestion and good for diabetics. Sattu flour can be prepared easily at home. 1. Buy roasted chana dal (bengal gram from the market) 2. Remove the skin from the roasted chana. 3. Grind it into a fine powder. 4. Sieve and store it in a glass jar and use whenever required. Ingredients - - 2 spoon sattu flour - 1 lemon - 2 glass water - 5-6 Mint leaves - 1/4 teaspoon Roasted cumin seed powder - 1/2 teaspoon Black salt - Common salt - 1/2 teaspoon Sugar Method - 1. Take a mixing bowl add sattu flour, lemon juice, black salt, sugar, roasted cumin seed powder, common salt, 1/2 glass water and mix everything nicely without any lumps. 2. Next add remaining 1 and 1/2 glass water, finely chopped mint leaves give it a good mix and serve immediately. Note: 1. The above given measurement serves two people. 2. Methi Leaves Dosa

Methi Leaves Dosa - A simple addition of Fenugreek/Methi leaves to the regular Dosa Batter increases its taste as well as its nutritional value. Ingredients - 3 cup dosa batter 2 cup roughly chopped fenugreek leaves (methi leaves) 1 finely chopped green chilli Salt Method -  1. Take a mixing bowl, add dosa batter, fenugreek leaves, green chilli, salt as per requirement and give it a good mix. 2. Heat a pan grease it with oil, once the tawa is hot add ladle full of Fenugreek leaves dosa batter at the centre and start to spread it evenly in a circular motion.  3. Once the base portion is cooked flip and cook the other side. Repeat this process with the remaining batter. Note: Serve fenugreek leaves dosa hot with coconut chutney or sambhar . Dosa batter - Dosa is considered to be one of the healthiest south Indian breakfast recipe. The perfect dosas can be made if you excel the art of making the batter in a right way.  Ingredients - - 3 cup rice - 1 cup urad dal - 1/2 cup flattened rice (poha) - 1 spoon fenugreek seeds - Salt - Water Method - 1. Wash and soak the rice, fenugreek seeds and urad dal overnight/6-8 hours separately. 2. Soak poha 30 minutes before grinding. 3. Take a mixer jar add urad dal, 1/4th cup water and grind it till you get smooth thick fluffly paste.  4. Transfer the urad dal paste into a mixing bowl. 5. Next add the flattened poha, rice, fenugreek seeds, 1/2 cup water and grind it to a smooth   paste. 6. Transfer the rice batter into the mixing bowl and mix the urad dal paste and rice batter nicely using your hand/laddle. 7. Allow the batter to ferment at room temperature for about 8-10 hours. 8. Once the batter is fermented add required amount of salt and mix the batter nicely and your dosa batter
