Capsicum Raita

Capsicum Raita - A simple healthy recipe that can be enjoyed along with any meal of your day.

Ingredients -

3 capsicum
3-4 garlic cloves
1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon asafoetida (hing)
4 spoon sunflower/sesame oil
1 cup thick fresh curd
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Coriander leaves

Method -

1. Take a mixing bowl, add thick fresh curd, red chilli powder, sugar and  salt(as per the requirement) and whisk the curd till you get smooth texture and keep it aside.

2. Now chop the capsicum into small cubes and grate the garlic cloves.

3. Take a pan and add oil, once the oil is hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal and wait till the mustard seeds splutter.

4. Next add the chopped capsicum, grated garlic, asafoetida, salt and saute it for about 6-7 minutes on medium flame.

5. Switch off the flame and allow the sauteed capsicum to cool down completely and then add it to the curd mixture that you have prepared earlier, stir it and then garnish it with finely chopped coriander leaves.
